An Exercise Physiologist is an allied health professional with postgraduate qualifications in prescribing and implementing exercise for a variety of health conditions and disabilities.

Exercise Physiologists are governed by Exercise and Sports Science Australia and a recognised allied health profession by Medicare and the NDIS.

How does exercise physiology help people with autism?

All of us need to be physically active, and autistic people often face additional barriers to exercise at the individual, social and societal level. Exercise Physiologists support autistic people to overcome these barriers by individualising and tailored physical activity to suit their needs and interests.

Exercise is also is proven to improve executive functioning, sensory and emotional regulation, gait and bodily awareness.

What ages do you work with?

We support people of all ages, but most of our clients are between 5 and 20 years old.
